@Arrow303: I don't even really know how to react because this is a speedy deletion, and there is no discussion forum. Anyway: in fact I just made a better version of a picture not originally made by me, and added the free crown. So I don't protest against the deletion. For my home wikipedia, the Esperanto one, the file anyway won't make a big difference. I don't know how the italians feel about the topic. They probably had a locally stored file and deleted it when the commons file was established. But they should be accustomed to the deletion of italian coats of arms from commons. So, go ahead! @ThomasPusch Yeah, but when you made a "better version of a picture not originally made by you" where did you take the elements of the shiled? If it's not an own work (and basing on the screenshot date, it does not seem) there should be a free source to prove the license compatibility. Currently, italian graphics re-design municipality CoAs basing solely on the blazon, according to COM:Coat of arms and using only CC-BY-SA-compatible elements taken from Commons (and all provided with {{Attrib}} as per policy) or otherwise fully own-drawn elements. Anyway, if you disagree with the speedy deletion you should convert it to a regular DR. Thanks for the attenion, Arrow303 (留言) 19:55, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[回覆]

@Arrow303: The original "picture not originally made by me" was already in Wikipedia, and was a really poor one. Not as poor as file:Valle dell'Angelo-Stemma.jpg, which is hurting the eye as a CoA-file, but nothing great. Of course I don't know in detail any more, if or with which file name there was a source shield. But anyway it was really not entirely my work (like for example File:Erba (Como) blazono.svg was entirely my work), so I don't disagree with you about deleting «blazono de Valle dell'Angelo.jpg». It still was a compromise, and I learned by now that commons is not about compromising at all. So I don't object in this case. You are right. ThomasPusch (留言) 20:34, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[回覆]
