I’m wondering where the picture was taken. After checking satellite images, I come to the conlusion that it must have been at 21°01′40.4″S 14°09′58.5″E / 21.027889°S 14.16625°E / -21.027889; 14.16625, heading towards the NW. False color imagery of the area and geomorphologic considerations suggest that the hilltops are formed by carbonate rocks (marbles). But since there are two carbonatic successions present whithin the Zerrissene Turbidite Complex and since the narrow folding makes it difficult to distinguish between the outcrops of these two formations, it is hard to judge whether the hilltops are lying whithin the Brandberg West Formation or the Gemsbok River Formation. --Gretarsson (talk) 10:46, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
