What's the point of putting on a "BadJPEG" marker? No reasonable quality conversion with reasonable effort which does not bloat the filesize would be possible unless the U.S. Govt. were to make available the intermediate working steps that were used in generatting the image... Actually, I was hoping for a PNG version. So the BadJPEG tag does belong in case the feds put the file out in multiple formats. Frankly, I figured their prefered format would be TIFF. That's what NASA uses for its max-res photos. Will (Talk - contribs) 06:01, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
