Rey Behanzin de Dahomey[edit]
The text currently on the flag says "Rey Behanzin de Dahomey", apparently Spanish. The reference says:
- The picture from the Musée de l’Armée however suggests the cloth yellow and the shield blue which is more what we would expect and which is also more in line with the engraving shown. The motto reads: REI BEHANZIN DE DAHOMEY which is portuguese for ‘King Behanzin of Dahomey’
The picture is hard to read and this postcard is also hard to read, but I think it more probable that the text is "REI BEHANZIN DE DAHOMEY" in Portuguese. --Error (talk) 18:14, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
