Look of the current National Coat of arms[编辑]

The current coat of arms, in use, can be seen at the website of the Gambia State House. Regards, --Echando una mano (留言) 15:13, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[回复]

The version used on the site is the same one as used here with the added shading. It's very common for government, especially in developing regions, to use Wikimedia files due to their availability. My alternative version of the file is based on the original version of the coat of arms granted in 1964 while the version I did in 2013 was based on less meaninful sources available at the time. Unfortunately the Gambian authorities seem to have started using that version of the file, with the added shading that is not based on any official sources, before I updated the file recently. I believe it's in the best interest to use the layout of the original 1964 version to preserve the intended look of the coat of arms. --Fenn-O-maniC (留言) 06:34, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[回复]
I have checked the CoA in Smith/Neubecker (1980). The lions are brown, not red. But the trunk of the oil palm is brown, not green and the leaves are not so flourish. The inscription is brown. You can find similar images at Flags of the World and Heraldery of the World. --18:45, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
