Just what is this?[edit]

What species is this anyway? The file description calls it Zamenis longissimus, but Zamenis longissimus could hardly be called an INDIAN rat snake, given that it only lives in Europe, not counting a tiny part of Turkey. List of reptiles of Sri Lanka says it's Ptyas mucosa, as does List of reptiles of Kerala. So what is it? Is it perhaps one of those poor animals posed for fake nature photos, like those South American frogs in Indonesia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sumanuil (talk • contribs) 02:03, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
