К этой фотографии сделана не верная попись. Группа Владивостоцкая. Погибшие бойцы 8-го Чехословацкого полка после боя на Уссурийском фронте. Knowing more about this photograph[edit]

This file is sometimes described as depicting slain Bolsheviks:

And is other times described as depicting slain Czechs:

And both descriptions are noted here:

Can we find a scholarly source that will help us to identify the shooters, and the dead, so that what we write is verifiable? Who took this photo?

For a scholarly piece on a different piece of media from the period, which sheds light on the ways in which understanding these works can be a challenge, this is helpful - http://www.hoover.org/publications/hoover-digest/article/113496

The standign men are members of the Czechoslovak Legion, we can see by their clothes.
If we take a look at the statue on the monument to the Czech soldiers at Blansko (Czech Republic), we can see it wears the same cap as the standing men. I don't know if the dead are Bolsheviks, but the men standing are members of the Czechoslovak Legion, this should not be disputed.
We can find the picture of the statue here: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/01/Blansko_Zborovak.jpg. Please observe the cap: it has the same shape and the same diagonal band on it. Thus, the information that the men posing are Bolsheviks is wrong and should be corrected.

User VMBFV is right, we can see by their clothes that the standing men are members of the Czechoslovak Legion. However, the dead men are not Bolsheviks, but they are also from Czechoslovak Legion, look at their boots, for example. Their mutilated bodies were the subject of an International Commission report on Bolshevik atrocities. Jirka.h23 (talk) 05:14, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
