I touched Discussion page. There a big big fat lie about the origin of OPINCA name. It has nothing to do with Slavs as they don't wear this time of shoes and we're not in Balcans at the time of Dacians who clearly show the Romanian tipe of these ,mocasin'like peasant shoes. OPINCA derived from CHINGA ( a wide piece of leather from wich those shoes belts straps and horse saddles were made) It came via Moldavian idiom OCHINCA ( p is ,chi' in Moldavian idiom and Aromanian) It's basically O ( a,one)+ CHINGA= A leather. Chinga' also derives from Latin CLINGA or CINGULA ( there's , cingatoare/ belt') in Romanian

The term was likely popularized south of Danube by Dacian Carpii who were moved by the Romans to different parts of empire to maintain order (Carpii Wikipedia)

The Slavic etymology is a very big fat lie and resulted in funny explanation ( it means ,climbing shoes '????)

Also why do they call it ,opanci'? That Romanian grammar O opinca'( one opinca') doua opinci'( thwo opinca')

To prove this true I'll show another example OBIELE ( foot wraps) Again we see O ( one)+ biele ( skin) as it was before becoming, piele' Why with ,b' instead of p? There are examples in other languages as well Spanish say ,bomba' instead, pompa'( pump) or , gobierno instead governo. The verb ,a beli'( to skin)/ to peel, pelar' etc is till used in Romanian even though skin is ,piele' with ,p' Third NOJITE ( shoe strings, laces) In the northern Romania is called only Jitze Compare it with other similar words JITZE( shoes strings) nitze' ( neglected long hair) ITZE ( thin ropes) atze ( thread) all from Latin , ACCIA'( thread)

All three words are described in Wiktionary as Bulgarian which is a very serious injustice. I gave a real meaning of these things and I will fight to be accepted in Wiktionary and Wikipedia.

These etymologies have something to do with leather and skin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Constantine Cristin (talk • contribs) 17:25, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
