Germany
[编辑]… should be green as "2003-12-01" is widely accepted. 92.231.85.219 07:57, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- With all do respect "JJJJ-MM-DD" is TOTAL unyusual in Germany. Totally. With one exeption: Do name Files in the computer. And this only because then you can sort Files better by date. But thats an geeky thing and have nothing to do with Germany in particular. So Germany (ans so I know the other european Countrys) schould have the blue colour. --StudentG (talk) 22:14, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
- PS I meant the green Central european States, not the yellow ones. --StudentG (talk) 22:17, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, it seems used in some official notes witch nobody reads. So per formula is is green. But the Green say the wrong thing in all day use. The usual guy will maybe not understand what 2012-04-02 means. If its mean 02.04.2012 or 04.02.2012; its in reality very unusual.
- I agree. DIN 5008 is widely ignored. YYYY-MM-DD will be viewed as strange technicality in all communication contexts except maybe official communication of which the general population has no knowledge. Therefore I change Germany back to cyan. —Quilbert (talk) 10:49, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

Antarctica
[编辑]Shouldn't Antarctica be light grey like most of Africa (unknown/no data) rather than dark grey like Canada (mixed format)? -- Beland (talk) 16:47, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
- Just what I was wondering. Antarctica is claimed by various countries, but oddly they all seem to be DMY ones. But that said, the US (MDY), Japan (YMD) and China (YMD) all have research stations there. But is that the reason? The original creator of this map doesn't seem to be still around. Austria
[编辑]Could you please set the color of Austria to cyan. In Austria date formats are used in the same way as in every other german speaking state, like in Germany (see above). Thanks, --Taste1at (talk) 18:10, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
Palette and forking
[编辑]It seems Typhoon2013 and Sethdecastro1 have created a new bitmap version at Date format by country (new).png, which fills in many grey areas. Should the new information be ported back to this SVG?
The colours also start out logically e.g. cyan + yellow = green, but cyan + magenta != red. I think red and blue should be swapped. Moreover, it's not really colour-blind-friendly. Would it be better to use hatching with more consistent colour addition?
Thanks,

User:cmglee - could you update the map? Can be done in text editor. Below is the code that has blue instead of red per CMYK model, and has some more countries colored. Also AQ restored. Changing vector to bitmap is just bad.

- Hi 92.226.174.207, Typhoon2013 and Sethdecastro1,
- I addressed the two issues above in Date format by country revised.svg as on the right, but the data is very different from that in Date format by country.svg and Date format by country (new).png. Could someone make a call on which data is correct?
- Thanks,
cmɢʟee ⋅τaʟκ 13:57, 23 January 2018 (UTC)- User:cmglee, could you just make the update as requested by 92.226.174.207? Download the original, open in text-editor, search for YMD to find the section that should be replaced. 85.181.118.157 22:36, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
