Per http://www.arcadja.com/auctions/en/fesch_jean_louis/artist/230659/ the artists dates are 1738-1773, but if anyone knows of an additional WP:RS to back this up, please mention it, as we don't have an article on the artist on English Wikipedia. There is however an article on French Wikipedia fr:Jean-Louis Fesch which gives comparable dates. And a possible WP:RS in French. Any French speakers able to update Commons?. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 13:27, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

I can read enough French to be able to confirm that both the Bibliothèque nationale de France and VIAF give the dates as 1739–1778, with the BnF specifying the date of death as 20 May 1778. There's a pretty conclusive RS in the Biographie universelle, which can be read at Wikisource: "Il mourut à Paris en 1778." Hope that helps. --RexxS (talk) 15:02, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
