flickr licensing[edit]

According to the flickr page for the photo (https://www.flickr.com/photos/number10gov/27798459571/), it's licensed under CC-BY-NC-ND. How does this jive with what the FDP claims? — Fourthords | =/\= | 16:47, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The photograph falls under Crown copyright (and is labeled accordingly on Flickr). As stated in our description, "since 2010, almost all information owned by the UK Crown is offered for use and re-use under the Open Government Licence by authority of The Controller of Her Majesty's Stationery Office."
With few exceptions (none of which apply in this instance), material with UK Crown copyright carries the OGL automatically – in addition to any other licensing that might be attached. (Many OGL images – particularly those hosted on Flickr – also are available under various licenses incompatible with Commons, but this has no impact on our usage.) —David Levy 23:04, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
