[edit]

Thanks to everyone for keeping this updated. I check it as often as all of the other maps. Buffaboy (talk) 02:11, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

World minus USA

[edit]

Why is there a small map of the world minus USA in the corner of this map? It serves less than no purpose, so I suggest that it be deleted. Bazonka (talk) 08:43, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's for Democrats Abroad. Abjiklɐm (tɐlk) 22:21, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ah right, that makes sense, although perhaps a label would help. Bazonka (talk) 22:11, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe it's a little premature (results are released on the 21st), but looks like Sanders won Democrats Abroad handily https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democrats_Abroad_primary,_2016 Want to fill it in? --Dereich1 (talk) 18:21, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Dereich1: ✓ Done. MB298 (talk) 18:40, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the results just came in, and Sanders won the Democrats Abroad primary. Therefore, someone should update the image with the "world minus USA" in green. Regards. --Sfs90 (talk) 18:14, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Gold color for Hillary Clinton

[edit]

We should change all the other maps, then. MB298 (talk) 00:39, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just wondering why this was done? The old tan color seemed a little easier on the eyes. --Dereich1 (talk) 00:09, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It's the same as Clinton's color from 2008. MB298 (talk) 03:06, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Changing the Template

[edit]

Should the template be similar to the Republican Party presidential primaries, 1980? Massachusetts, Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri were all quite close. It would be more clear and less deceptive.

Arceuszd (talk) 21:19, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Arceuszd is referring to File:Republican presidential primary results, 1980.svg where "darker colors signify a win by 60% or more". Also, don't just call out states that Clinton won, Michigan was just as close. Other Sander's victories affected are Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Colorado. – 15zulu (talk) 21:48, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. It can confuse readers into thinking there are several candidates, when in reality there are two. MB298 (talk) 23:44, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose for the same reason. Furthermore, there are already figures with 1) Vote shares 2) Delegate Counts 3) county level results. There is no point in complicating the figure that is in the template, which purpose is to serve as an overview rather than create confusion. --Sleepingstar (talk) 22:48, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

DA map

[edit]

The world map takes up half of this file's size, and should be reduced. MB298 (talk) 17:23, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've already done that to bring the file size from over a mb down to 79 kb. At that size it doesn't really matter anymore. Obviously, if someone wants to go ahead and simplify further I don't have any objection. Abjiklɐm (tɐlk) 06:19, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
