Identity of person in costume[edit]

The source of this image (US National Park Service) has not identified the person in the costume as Sean Spicer. Spicer has said that he was an Easter Bunny at the 2008 White House Easter Egg roll, but there were at least three Easter bunnies at that event in different costumes. In this photo which shows Spicer having removed the head of his costume, we can see that it had blue eyelids, white cheeks and no glasses whereas the bunny in the crimson waistcoat in this photo has glasses, purple eyelids and pink cheeks. Spicer is probably the bunny on the left in the back row of this photo, in the blue waistcoat with gold trim as that costume seems to match Spicer's more closely (see close-up). I looked at this ... I believe the photo you link to depicts Spicer the previous year; that is to say, he was a bunny in 2007 and 2008. Editosaurus (talk) 20:12, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Both those photos are from the NPS's 2008 gallery [1]. January (talk) 20:28, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm talking about the twitter photo. To be clear --- I mean to say that the photo in the linked tweet depicts Spicer in 2007; this photo depicts him in 2008.
You have not provided any supporting evidence for this. January (talk) 20:42, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
An article seeming to depict this bunny as Spicer in multiple pictures and linked tweets Editosaurus (talk) 23:57, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That article actually states, "more than one person may play the Easter Bunny during a given year’s Easter Egg Roll, so it’s difficult to determine if any particular photo shows Spicer or another volunteer", and that is the problem. There are plenty of media articles about Spicer with images of Easter bunnies, some showing the one here and others showing the one I have identified (example), some even captioning the "female" one as him [2] but they clearly don't actually know which one he is and are just guessing. The only way to really clear this up would probably be to ask Sean Spicer. As I'm not in the WH press room, I can't do that. Until then, I guess one may resort to changing the photo name and changing the caption in the Wikipedia article to say "Spicer played one of the easter bunnies at the 2008 White House Easter Egg Roll," unless we find something better. I have renamed the file, discussion about its usage in the enwiki article should take place there. January (talk) 06:29, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
