This painting cann't be painted in 1633, because Dutch count Ernst Casimir (born in 1573) was killed at Roermond in 1632. Dutch greetings.

You have to keep options open and there is a possibility that this is a posthumous portrait or maybe even a copy of a portrait painted when he was alive. But according to the Rijksmuseum it might also be painted as early as 1609. Regards, Vincent Steenberg (talk) 08:25, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
