Thanks for pointing that out. I've recropped the image so it is no longer visible. TDL (對話) 17:59, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[回覆]

UK status[編輯]

SamuelTB, I see you restored the version of this image which implies that the UK is not a member of the EEA. When I restored the version showing the UK as member, I did so because, even though it has left the EU, it remains in the EEA until, at least, the end of 2020, under the terms of the transition period. See en:European Economic Area for more details, particularly the list of members. -- DeFacto (talk). 17:24, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[回覆]

We are in the Single Market and Customs Union until the end of the transition period but are not officially a member of the European Economic Area. — 以上未簽名的留言是由該使用者加入的: SamuelTB (留言 • 貢獻) 18:12, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[回覆]
@SamuelTB: see this EFTA webpage, where it says:
"Article 126 of the Withdrawal Agreement between the EU and the UK provides for a transition period until 31 December 2020. It follows from Article 129 of the Withdrawal Agreement that, during the transition period, the UK shall be bound by the obligations stemming from the international agreements concluded by the EU, including the EEA Agreement. The EEA EFTA States have agreed to treat the UK as an EU Member State during this period. Accordingly, the rights and obligations contained in the EEA Agreement continue to apply between the UK and the EEA EFTA States until 31 December 2020."
It is confusing for readers to see an article saying the UK is still within the EEA agreement, when that is not reflected on the map. Please revert your change. -- DeFacto (talk). 21:10, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[回覆]
User:Megyeye, as with SamuelTB, I ask the both of you not to edit war, the change was made, it was reverted. Per COM:UPLOADWAR, cut this out. It's disruptive. There is a discussion here and you are free to upload your own version with a different file name. It seems to me perhaps a different colour to indicate the UK's situation would make sense. @Rob984: You say that we are free to upload or own version with a different file name, BUT; This file is called "European Economic Area MEMBERS", and the UK is NOT a member although still treated as one. If the file was showing the "European economic AREA" perhaps the UK could still be the same color? (even though a separate color and information regarding the situation is still clearer, and more accurate as "This agreement will cease to apply when the UK leaves the EU") however on this map, it should at least be a different color as the map is showing the EEA MEMBERS.

Croatia[編輯]

Why is Croatia listed as a provisional member in the EEA? As far as I know, Croatia is a full member of the EU and therefore also of the EEA. --Tximitx (對話) 10:38, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[回覆]

Their participation in the EEA requires the ratification of a separate treaty, given the involvement of non-EU states. This has been pending approval for years now. See the current status here: [1]. TDL (對話) 01:07, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[回覆]
