Subject:Evan Almighty and The Guardian images for Wikipedia request
Hello, I am one of the editors at Wikipedia, the online free encyclopedia, and I was wondering if we could possibly use your images (http://flickr.com/photos/91333798@N00/with/1311125792/) of the sets from "Evan Almighty" and "The Guardian" for their respective articles. We would probably want to use flickr.com/photos/91333798@N00/1311125792/ and flickr.com/photos/91333798@N00/1311074284/. Right now Wikipedia is one of the most-viewed websites, and it is possible that hundreds of thousands of people could see your images over time. If you give us permission, I would upload some of the images for use on the page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Guardian_%282006_film%29 and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evan_Almighty and possibly other articles. We would give you the credit and include a link back to your Flickr page (if you wish).
We can only use your images if you are willing to grant permission for them to fall under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Text_of_the_GFDL), the Creative Commons Attribution (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/), or the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/). It would be your choice of how you want your image covered, so if you do want to allow the use of the image, take a look at the three licenses. The pages state that anyone will have the right to share and, where appropriate, to update your image, while giving you credit. Additionally, the articles state that other people might crop the image further, but you would still have your name and Flickr account as the author of the image. (I would probably slightly crop them some.) For example, it would look something like en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Samuel_L._Jackson_%282006_Pebble_Beach%29.jpg
Let me know if the images can be used for the free encyclopedia whenever it is convenient for you. If you do choose so, please reply back saying "I agree to release the images of "Evan Almighty" and "The Guardian" under the terms of the GFDL license/Creative Commons Attribution/Creative Commons Attribution Sharealike" (whichever one you want to pick). If you have any questions, message me back and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks, and great job on the pictures!
