Hosted here since at least 2003, with a legend "17th Century woodcut of 'Fairies dancing in a Ring'" and a "reference" of "RG.UP p 119". Trying to identify the source, this image of "witches dancing" may conceivably be from the same artist/publication.

Once the bloggers and poster-makers start handing around an image, it becomes almost impossible to research its origin. The best indication I found so far (for the "witches circle", not the fairy one) is this, " Circle of Witches Dancing Beneath a Full Moon, illustration from a collection of chapbooks on esoterica (woodcut), English School / Private Collection / The Stapleton Collection / The Bridgeman Art Library" --Dbachmann (talk) 06:16, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"RG.UP" is apparently Unexplained Phenomena: A Rough Guide Special (2000) [1] --Dbachmann (talk) 08:26, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
