Aspect ratio

The flag descriptions at WP:PT and WP:EN stipulate a prescribed aspect ratio of 3:2, however this flag has an aspect ratio of 51:30 — OAlexander (talk) 06:00, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

One page seem to copy one or the other, but both say that the ratio is "de facto" (by general use or fact) and it is fixed at 2x3. According to article 8 of the Constitution, no ratio was fixed and we are even confused. Unfortunately, I do not have anything about Cape Verde in the terms of definite specifications, except for what was given in the constitution. Thanks for your quick response. I am all ok with that, I just wanted the point to be known. Else, Cabo Verde is a country far, far away - from anywhere - and little is known about it ;). Not much can be gleaned from .cv TLD websites neither. — OAlexander (talk) 10:23, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Even though the proportions are far from certain due to the lack of a detailed flag law by the Cape Verdean government, I believe we should change the ratio to 2:3 anyway since this was the ratio of their previous flag. I was just made aware of Resolução n° 37/2009:, which has a graphic standards for the national flag (design, colors). That could be applied to the flag, but I do not have the time to fix it right now. User:Zscout370 ^{(Return fire)} 20:21, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
