This is not a Standard J-1 as has been misidentified in the press and archives as the wing cellule is completely different as it lacks the stagger, the overhang and the kingposts and the sweepback. The rudder and horizontal tail are also different, (an image on eBay shows a rudder similar to the Fokker D.VII rudder, but stretched by 50% vertically and with a small triangle find) the fuselage is extra wide and it is a four seater, with side by side controls in the rear cockpit and the undercarriage has 6 legs, aside from the adhoc cowling and radiator installation. In addition the ailerons (which are on the top wing only) have inverse taper, being broader outboard but curving to a point at the tips.NiD.29 (talk) 16:06, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
