In 1814 it's missing Catalonia, then a part of France.
Also, I think 1788 is before 1787...

Claimed borders vs. real authority

During the early part of this slideshow, large parts of the territory shown were effectively in the hands of rival powers or otherwise not truly loyal to the King of France. Most egregiously, Normandy is shown as being part of France during the entire period, when from 1066 to 1204 it was associated with the English monarchy.
