I believe the Wiki community is wrong about the Public Domain status of this image, unless the person who photographed it has been dead for over 75 years. Images are owned by the individuals or instutions, a museum for example, that own the originals. Thus, for example, you can republish a public domain text from a book that was published, say, in 1604 but cannot reproduce an image of the book without the permission of the person or institution that owns an original copy. Hi. I'm not clear about your statement. Do you mean, that the used license template (PD-Art) can't be used for this image or do you mean, that this license template is generally illegitimate? Kindly, norro 17:24, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
