Color

[edit]

@Kj1595 So since we have a blazon for this, why don't we have this colored? It doesn't need to be 1:1 exactly what it looked like in real life and having completely blank versions of coats of arms just doesn't look good. NorthTension (talk) 03:20, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Because we have no physical evidence, yet, of a colored version of Wied's coat of arms. Colorizing the image automatically renders it historically nonfactual, thus fictional. I would love for the coat of arms to have colors but we can't invent those colors. Kj1595 (talk) 03:59, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
so is your concern over the shades of the colors? it doesnt really matter if it's 100% accurate because the blazon tells us what *should* be there. its not fictional or nonfactual since we have the drawing of it already and we know where the colors are supposed to go. i understand your concern and frustration with maintaining 100% accuracy but i believe if we know what it's *supposed* to look like, then personally i think its fine. this isnt a huge deal to me though and since you genuinely know more than me on this i'll defer to your judgment if you make one after this post NorthTension (talk) 15:02, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
