GFDL License Violations

The following websites contain[ed] version of this images and were not in compliance with the GFDL:
- http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/99273/catbird, image: http://media-2.web.britannica.com/eb-media/11/117111-004-EFDE69EA.jpg
- attribution ok, no reference to GFDL, (C) by Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc. No original. Britannica.com contacted via their online form. Wwcsig (talk) 00:37, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- no response. Am calling their legal department on (800) 323-1229. They are aware of the issue and working on it... Wwcsig (talk) 14:37, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Received email stating that the offending content would be removed ASAP (has not happened, yet). The email refers to my additional restrictions I put on the images apart from GFDL. I deny there are additional restrictions and refer EB to the FSF's interpretation for derivative work: http://www.fsf.org/blogs/licensing/2007-05-08-fdl-scope Wwcsig (talk) 15:01, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- despite earlier promises of a speedy removal the image is still available as of today. I send another note to EB asking for the image to be delinked by 7/21 12PM EST. Wwcsig (talk) 07:57, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
