Kubera and Yama

[edit]

I think the front-left statue is en:Kubera, because his en:vahana is human. And the statue next to it is en:Yama, whose vahana is buffalo. In other words, those in the front line are 4-direction lokapala;

  • North: Kubera on human
  • South: Yama on buffalo
  • West: Varuna on tortoise (Up: Brahma on swan)
  • East: Indra on elephant

I'm not too sure about behind 2 statues. Maybe they are Up and Down (heaven and earth) direction, e.g. Brahma, Prithvi, etc.--Askr (talk) 11:47, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
