Uncalibrated silicon spectrometer[edit]

It should probably be noted somewhere that this is not an accurate depiction of a halogen lamp spectrum since it has clearly been measured on a silicon detector that has not been radiometrically calibrated. The spectrum cuts off around 1000 nm, just as expected for a silicon detector. A halogen lamp spectrum should actually peak around 1000 nm and has significant amplitude well into the IR. The figure is still useful, but this important caveat should be indicated. Tarheels 100 (talk) 15:12, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
