Montgomery and Shelby border

I'm pretty sure this map is missing the border between Montgomery County, Illinois and Shelby County, Illinois. --Closeapple (talk) 18:53, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Deletion tag

The deletion tag is simply for the purpose of enabling a histmerge with File:Illinois - outline map c.svg, which should have been uploaded here instead of under a new name. The only difference between the maps is the presence of a line: besides the boundary that Closeapple mentions above, another pair of counties is also un-separated in this version, and the other map has the correct boundary. Keeping the file under this name is essential, due to its usage in certain templates such as en:wp's Geobox. At any rate, the new image doesn't appear to be used anywhere, except for the en:Wikipedia:Graphics Lab/Map workshop page at which the error was discussed and fixed. I just copied File:Illinois - outline map c.svg (the "New locator map" above) to File:Illinois - outline map.svg (the first one above), with credit to Citypeek (對話 · 貢獻) in the upload summary, then nominated File:Illinois - outline map c.svg for speedy deletion as a duplicate. Hope that's how it's supposed to go. Or does that complicate it because a proper history merge can't happen without the file disappearing first? --Closeapple (talk) 02:33, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

I don't know. I actually downloaded the correct map and was about to upload it myself when I decided instead to ask for a history merge, since it would better reflect what should have happened, i.e. the new map being uploaded on top of the old one. Nyttend (talk) 14:17, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
