Anchor[edit]

The emblem currently displayed is historically incorrect. It features the three-dimensional anchor of the present-day Spanish Navy emblem with the ducal crown of the Franco Era. Until the last decade of the 20th century the anchors used as emblems by the Spanish Navy were flat. The correct Francoist navy emblem would be like the Spanish Republican Navy emblem, but with the mural crown replaced by the ducal crown with a red interior. A brief visit to any memorabilia site displaying Francoist navy paraphernalia will quickly dispel any doubts (Xufanc (talk) 03:29, 6 January 2013 (UTC)).[reply]
