Whether Taiwan should be included

The caption of the image states "World Map showing island countries which are sovereign states and states with limited recognition". As "state with limited recognition" is consistent with the article on en:Taiwan, it's fair that it is included in the map. @Cmglee: :I have another question now, since the file name is "island nations", why should we put a so-called nation with very limited recognition (even in the constitution in Taiwan area) into the map? With the same rule, there could be more "island nations" in this map, that's in a mess. Hi 行到水穷处, This matter has already been settled above.

As an academic exercise, let's say I changed the diagram as you wanted. Can you imagine yourself in a Taiwanese person's shoes who then complains that his state is not included? The matter will not end until the real-world dispute does!

I added the claimed area of Republic of China in English Wikipedia, which is the official name of Taiwan(if regarded as a country), as it claims, Republic of China(Taiwan) is not an island country. Though it is a country with limited recognition, the recognition is to the WHOLE country instead of to a single island, so I dissagree with you that it is an island country.行到水穷处 (留言) 03:28, 4 November 2018 (UTC)

Map is wrong

Two mistakes:

1. Bahrain shares a small land border with Saudi Arabia on Passport Island.

2. The Cook Islands, Niue, and Northern Cyprus are missing on the map. Northern Cyprus also shares land borders with Cyprus and the United Kingdom (Akrotiri and Dhekelia). 2001:8003:913E:5D01:C11F:31DB:E162:B781 14:39, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
