Um wen handelt es sich auf diesem Portraitbild? In der niederländischen Version von Wikipedia wird das Bild als Jan Carondelet ausgegeben, in der Deutschen als Mercurino Gattinara. Als solcher geistert es bereits durch das Weltnetz. Laut dem Katalog zur großen Bonner Karl V. Ausstellung der Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle von 2000 handelt es sich hier jedoch um Jan van Scorel (1495-1562) - siehe dort Seite 164. Da auch nichts auf die Kardinalswürde Gattinaras auf diesem Motiv anspielt und das Antlitz von dem Gattinaras im gleichen Katalog auf Seite 11 gezeigten abweicht, scheint mir eine Zuordnung zu M. Di. Message to the English Wikipedia: The Dutch Wikipedia correctly uses the image of a contemporary medal as a likeness of Mercurino Gattinara. Wikipedias in other languages (with the exception of the Italian Wikipedia) incorrectly associate Gattinara with a portrait that actually shows the Dutchman Jean II Carondelet.
