This photograph was probably taken by Pierre Petit as he had the exclusive rights to photography of the 1867 Exposition. It is not uncommon that attribution of a photograph is difficult. Petit made many thousands of photographs in his life. Some of the prints may not have been properly attributed. Normally I would expect the Conciergerie to have looked at the back of the photograph because it would have had Pierre Petit's trademark on it.
