  • So, He relinquished commercial and derivative rights.

Then Admin mga73 asked Bighandking on June 16, 2010: “Hi! Thank you for allowing the images to be uploaded on Wikimedia. The license on the images on Wikimedia is now cc-by-sa-3.0, which allows derivative works. However, just to be sure I would like to hear if you know and agree that images uploaded to Wikimedia under cc-by-sa-3.0 also can be used on pages outside Wikimedia? Thank you!”

The author, Bighandking, replied “It's my pleasure that some of my photos interest you. And I'll be glad to see more people would enjoy my photos. However, for derivative work, usually I prefer reserve the right.” (no reply date is given)

Galbanfr then asks the author this question: “Thank you Bighandking for your answer, also I have some doubts when you say "usually", I'm sorry to ask you again but are you agree that the photos I've allready upload are under creative commons licences with derivative works allowed ? (linked photo in my last post) Here is the official website of creative commons licences (I have put share alike option on the uploaded photos) Indeed there are very interesting, for example Yangluo Bridge is the tenth longer suspension bridge in the world and we haven't photo of it for illustrate Wikipedia articles. Thank you again.”

The author, Bighandking, replies around late June or on July 1, 2010 with this important message: “For the photos you've already uploaded, just keep the current licence term; for those you are going to transfer to wiki, please forbid derivative work. Just let you know, I've recently taken some photos of Nanpu and Lupu Bridges over Huangpu River (Shanghai), and will post them to panoramio soon. Have fun!”

  • So, the author was clearly notified of their use and removed the non-derivative and non-commercial use restrictions. The author has accepted the CC BY SA license too as he was notified by Galbanfr. The permission would apply only to images uploaded prior to July 1, 2010. In this case, this image, should remain on Wikimedia Commons. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 21:31, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[回复]
