This is not a king of Sennar[edit]

Hey, just wanted to let you know that this image does not depict a sultan of Sennar. Instead, it depicts the petty king ("Mek") of the southern Funj province of Fazughli, a province famous for its gold mining. Original source: Frédéric Cailliaud: "Voyage à Meroë", band 3, plate 1.
