Errors in the Map

There are a lot of errors in the map. E.g. Flensburg was German dominated. Flensborg had a majority of Danes as late as 1918. We know this due to a famous referendum drawing the lines were Flensborg was narrowly Danish but counted in an area that was overall narrowly German. Your discussion on the other page seems to be personal research, where you "discover" that the church language of Slesvig-Hostel was German, which is already wellknown. Hi, have also looked on the orignal map, which was the source of this one. There you can also see that it was German dominated. Sorry but you are false. The map is full of mistakes. You could also go into a library and comapre it, but it is a German published maps. Please compare also there: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File_talk:SprachlicheVerh%C3%A4ltnisseSchleswig.png There are people which wishes another reality but it is so. The things with the churches are also a hint for people which don't want believe the quotes I gave there also and so on. If you are thinking that the people are walking to a chruch without to understand it and so on .... you could compare the quotes. Danmark was not a Nation state. Sometimes it's better to see and accept the reality. If you need a map you could use this Map of a Dansk Book: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Folkesprogene_i_Hertugd%C3%B8mmet_Slesvig.png compare the Talk page to the primary German picture file and so on. You opinion ist "the lines were Flensborg was narrowly Danish but counted in an area that was overall narrowly German." The result in 1920 after the lost war, was that Flensburg was with more than 75% votes for Germany. The church language was determined by the fact that Slesvig was placed under the German church due to officially being considered a German duchy even by the Danish kingdom. It doesn't change the fact the area was predominantly Danish, and had been since it a danish king changed the Jarldom of South Jutland to the Duchy of Slesvig so that the positioned would be inherited by his son, according to German laws, instead of being up for election according to Danish laws. The map you have replaced it with is based on a later date, but I guess you are right in it being the source since the lines are almost identical, this seems to be an extrapolation. 79.205.241.218 18:32, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

The source of the map is from "Historischer Atlas Schleswig-Holstein vom Mittelalter bis 1867", Neumünster 2004. The source is clearly cited! And by the way: Schleswig was a Danish fief/duchy.
