Levantine Bedawi

It is incorrect to say that what you call "Levantine Bedawi" is spoken any further north than Tafileh. The plateau from Tafileh to Irbid in Jordan is really just Southern Levantine.

I assume by Bedawi you mean Northwest Arabian Arabic; this is only really spoken south of Tafileh, in the Petra and Wadi Rum areas. Eastern Jordan and Southern Syria have dialects that are closer to Syrian and Iraqi bedouin dialects.

The most salient marker of NW Arabian Arabic is the retention of unaffricated qaf and kaf, and general loss of nunation; this is in fact shared among all Bedouin dialects from southeast Jordan to Morocco, and sets them apart from the Bedouin dialects of the Syrian desert and the Arabian peninsula.--Jadhimah (留言) 22:09, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Dialects following modern political borders?

I have a couple of issues with this map:

1. Dialects are following modern political borders, which is not true. Hauran speaks the same dialect as northern Jordan. Likewise, southern Lebanon dialects are closer to the southern levantine dialects spoken in PAlestine/Jordan.
2. What happened to Arabic in Jaffa, Lod, Ramla, and the triangle area (Taibeh, Tireh, Kafr Kasem, etc.)?

@عمرو بن كلثوم: Yes, you're right. I erroneously created this map as the "Levantine Arabic" map, but had to rename it, as dialects such as "Cypriot Arabic" and "Levantine Bedawi" aren't Levantine Arabic. The Levantine Arabic map can be found at File:Levantine Arabic Map.jpg. As for this map, feel free to complete it using reliable sources. As you can see, I've used data from Glottolog and Ethnologue, for example, but you can also use other sources too as long as they are reliable. Nehme₁₄₉₉ (talk) 19:53, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
