Copyright status

To the uploader: Is this your own work, and if not, where do you get the information that this image is licensed under CC-BY-SA-3.0? — Julian H.^✈(talk/files) 16:34, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

I wrote to the author, who wrote back: "Thank you for sending this message. You are correct, my image of M-94 was placed on Wikipedia and Creative Commons without my permission and in violation of my copyright. For what it's worth, none of my images may be used without my express written permission or unless I place them on Creative Commons myself. I will agree to the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License for this image. Thank you for suggesting it. I would also appreciate a link back to my web site in the attribution...."

I forwarded his response to OTRS. The image now has permission. Stigmatella aurantiaca (talk) 04:31, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
