What are the sources of the provincial division boundaries?
[编辑]Is it your own work? Or did you used sources you didn't list in file description?
The state boundary with China
[编辑]This line in sources you used is not correct at the en:Dornod province.

The incorrect border line derives from the U.S. CADRG 1:1M ONC map here it is online. The same N.G.A. site brings us the correct border line at CADRG 1:500K ONC map. It is a reliable source, I guess.Bogomolov.PL (talk) 09:05, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Provincional boundaries junction (47.5-48.3 deg N and 93-94 deg E)
[编辑]The lakes are not divided with the provincional boundaries - both large lakes are completely inside the en:Khovd province, the provincional boundary runs along the lake shore. Bogomolov.PL (talk) 04:41, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
New +rivers version: Hydrology network topology problems
[编辑]- Khara-Us-Nuur has a large insula not peninsula, where is an isthmus at your map is the main waterway connecting Western (larger) and Eastern (smaller) lake parts.
- Next the river connects Khara-Us-Nuur to the Khar-Nuur,
- next a channel connects Khar-Nuur to the Zavkhan-Gol river making both lakes drainage and sweet water. Zavkhan-Gol river feeds Airag-Nuur lake and
- next Khyargas-Nuur lake. Khar-Nuur, Khar-Us-Nuur, Dorgon-Nuur, Airag-Nuur and Khyargas-Nuur are the Great Lakes Hollow lakes system - the connections for all parts listed would be wery usefull.
- Khovd-Gol river starts not from Dayan-Nuur lake (as it's depicted at your map) but from lakes chain NW from Dayan-Nuur (Khoton-Nuur+Khurgan-Nuur).
- Boon-Tsagaan-Nuur has different shape - the SE tip of the lake at your map is a different lake(mostly dry)
- Shape of southernmost lake at Mongolian territory is the Ingen depression shape. This depression is filled with white sands so it looks at the satellite imagery like a dry lake, but this territory is not a lake.
- Orog-Nuur needs the Tuin-Gol river to be added as it is a main river in the region.
- The Khalkh-Gol river main stream feeds Buir-Nuur lake (this is a single water source of the largest lake in E.Mongolia).
- Next a river channel runs out of the Buir-Nuur, so this is a sweet water drainage lake.
- Large Dalai-Nuur (Hulun-Nuur, at Chinese territory) has a channel connecting to the Argun river and making Dalai-Nuur a sweet water drainage lake.
I hope listed questions would be useful in this map improvements. Bogomolov.PL (talk) 13:25, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
