Sunbather on a cold day?

[edit]

This is one of my favorite *really old* artworks, especially since it looks like a topless California sunbather who time-travelled to predynastic Egypt on a cold day. The gigantic book "30,000 Years of Art" documents the lapis "sunglasses as from Badakhshan, and likely (imo) Sar-i Sang, which has been the best source for fine lapis since antiquity (and still is!). That book also make a comment re the "Sunbather on a cold day" -- so we could use this, if there's an encyclopedic reason to.... Cheers, --Pete Tillman (talk) 21:39, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
