I would also suggest reorganizing this a bit. Placing the license tags right in the {{Information}} box looks bad (I like linking to the section from the box). Also, the {{Assessments}} template should be under a header of "Recognition". See this image as an example of what I mean. Should go:

• Summary
• Recognition
• Licensing information

Licensing

Shouldn't this image be tagged as {{PD-USGov-POTUS}}? It is the work of the US government and Obama is the current US president, so I find it confusing that the picture is somehow licensed under CC. GraYoshi2x►^talk 01:13, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Actually, no it shouldn't. The deletion discussion notes that this photo was taken before inauguration by a member of Obama's transition team. That's not really part of the government. It was released with a CC notice, so until the painting is made after he leaves office, we won't have a PD-USGov "official" portrait of Obama. ACupOfCoffee (talk) 17:54, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Unprotect request

I have a higher resolution image of this official portrait (2204x3000) from a website on the suntimes.com that has since been taken down. This photo was taken by a Canon 5D Mark 2, which is a 12 MP camera I believe, so it makes sense that there is a higher res out there. Nasa-verve (talk) 21:57, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
