Crete

Hello, This map of the Ottoman Empire as of 1609 is erroneous. Crete should not be included in it. (It was conquered by the Ottomans in 1683). Thanks, T.

@Thrakianus: I have flagged this issue with {{Inaccurate-map-disputed}}; see the file’s edit history for how I did it. (Note there is no need to link to the file page from here, or vice versa; this page is pretty well permanently attached to it.) The cited source map does not appear to exclude Crete, however, so the contributors can’t be faulted for reproducing it. You may also wish to bring this up on the talk pages of WP articles that use this map (linked near the bottom of the file page).—Odysseus1479 (talk) 00:02, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
