Fake flag[edit]

I'm reasonably confident this flag is a fake and the original creation of the uploader. The Civil Defense Patrols were militias into which peasants were conscripted; they performed routine patrols, guard duty, and the military's dirty work. There is no attestation anywhere of them bearing their own flag, and I have one source that recounts them being required to have proper Guatemalan flags. The image is simply the Guatemalan tricolor with the Spanish-language acronym of the Civil Defense Patrols written on it: easily created, and given that there are two versions of this image (File:PACGT.png and File:P A C.png) because the uploader experimented with the spacing and font size, I believe they are original creations.
