List of theatres shown on the map with dates[edit]

The map appears to show Paris as it existed sometime between 12 November 1825 (when the Théâtre-Italien moved back into the Salle Favart after performing in the Salle Louvois from 1819; see "Paris", Table 1, in New Grove Opera) and 16 March 1826 (when the Cirque Franconi on the rue du Faubourg du Temple was destroyed by fire). The dates which are particularly important for the dating of the map are shown in bold. Theatres are listed starting on the Left Bank with the Odéon, then the Right Bank, starting with the Vaudeville on the rue de Chartres, and moving north and east.
