Pearse Image

[edit]

This image appeared on the front page of the Weekly Irish Times, Vol.44.0.2,078, Dublin, Saturday April 29, 1916. I have therefore placed the old tag on the image.--83.71.58.142 08:11, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for finding this source information, though it's not nearly enough to determine that it's out of copyright; certainly not enough to say the author died over 70 years ago as the PD-old template is intended for. Was it credited? Was it taken by the newspaper? Was it taken around 1916? If it was uncredited and the author can not be determined (though I don't know what the standard for that is—probably high), or given as a corporate work, the tag {{Anonymous-EU}} can be used instead. —innotata 02:37, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If it helps, it could not have been taken later than 1916 because Pearse was executed shortly after the failed en:Easter Rising. See his bio. --Red King (talk) 19:10, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Should have looked his article, though this we already know if it was published in 1916. What we need is what information exists on the authorship. —innotata 14:13, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
