Bias[編輯]

Dear Ssolbergj, your map of China colors Arunachal Pradesh in light green (together with Taiwan)which implies it is somehow rather a part of CHina although under Indian administration. Why then doesn't the India map have Aksai Chin (a Chinese administered region claimed by India) be colored light green on the India map? Same goes with Pakistan occupied kashmir. Shouldn't those areas be in light green too? Please maintain neutrality as prescribed under Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. I look forward to you recoloring those maps with a NPOV in mind and not China slanted views. (Reference: [1] vs [2]. Thank you.

I have changed the map to reflect the above and also the discussion on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:People's_Republic_of_China#Map, the user Shibo77 has undone my changes without providing a reason. I will re-do my changes. Uirauna (talk) 16:51, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[回覆]

Taiwan and other territory claims[編輯]

Please do not depict Taiwan and other territory claims in light green. In other country articles, you never see territory claims on the orthographic projection. Andyso (talk) 09:53, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[回覆]

This issue has been discussed before, please see w:en:Wikipedia:Neutral point of view/Noticeboard/Archive 3#ATTENTION ALL: Map of India, w:en:Talk:People's Republic of China/Archive 8#Map (again), and File talk:India (orthographic projection).svg. --Shibo77 (talk) 11:48, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[回覆]
There was no consensus. As most orthographic projection maps on Wikipedia, those claimed territories are not colored. India's one is just not proper. ROC has claimed sovereignty over mainland China and do we need to highlight mainland on the ROC map? Wikipedia is not the place for your political propaganda (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view). I hope you can respect the truth. Andyso (talk) 14:57, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[回覆]
And please state reason(s) before reverting back any files.Andyso (talk) 14:59, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[回覆]
I did state and provide the reason when I reverted your change, you should check this talk page. You had only provided your own opinion without waiting for others to chime in before changing the image which is a faulty one (cf. South Tibet). If I am not mistaken, nearly all of the Grey-green orthographic projections maps of states with territorial claims here on Wikimedia Commons do in fact show claimed but not administered areas of a state in a lighter shade of green. You could look through the gallery for Argentina, Chile, India, Japan, Nagorno-Karabakh, Pakistan and Venezuela. --Shibo77 19:14, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[回覆]
