Date change[edit]
The Library of Congress has had this record listed as being published in 1894. However, after reviewing the documents, you can see 1) a copyright date of 1895 on the page with the New York maps and 2) in the article accompanying this image the statement: "The exposition will be held at Atlanta from September 18th to December 31st of the present year" which was in 1895.
After inquiring about the matter via email with and presenting the above information to the LoC, a Geography and Map Division Specialist stated the record would be amended to reflect the date of the map, but the process "may take a few months before the change is reflected in the online catalog record."
