The copyright status of the "Pieni tietosanakirja" is uncertain. If the original author/drawer/painter died more that 70 years ago, this picture is PD. Otherwise it's still protected by the Finnish copyright law. Unfortunatly it's nearly impossible to name the original author.. --Joonasl 16:47, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Collaborative works like encyclopedias that don't have a single author are usually considered to enter the public domain 70 years after publication. I don't know if that's specifically true under Finnish law, but it's true widely enough that I think we're safe using this image. Angr 18:20, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
