Rights[edit]

I've uploaded this on the basis that the Seattle Municipal Archives presumably knows what they are doing when they say they are licensing it under cc-by-2.0. Pike Place Market is ultimately owned by the city (although since about 1971 it has been administered by several more or less autonomous entities). They don't spell out the chain of rights, but I'd presume that the photo was either taken by someone in the employ of the Market or the City, or donated unconditionally to either the Market or the City. Seattle has an unusually robust municipal archive, so it makes sense that they now administer the archives of the Market. They put together a big exhibit for the 100th anniversary of the Market in 2007; here's the online version. - Jmabel ! talk 22:36, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
