Vélasquez ?[edit]

Most of the critic disagree on the paternity of Velasquez on the painting since 1926. Most enthusiast critics, such as Jonathan Brown only consider the paternity of Vélasquez is possible.

Most recent studies done after cleanup of the portrait does not conclude anything about the paternity.

Self Portrait[edit]

Even critics that consider it may be from Velasquez does not think it is a self portrait (Mayer : portrait of Francisco de Rioja? )

Only Carl Justi studies the hypothesis of a Velasquez study's made in Rome for a former self portrait painted in Spain. He has finish its demonstration asking how it was possible a such studies has entered in the Capitoline museum... Vatekor (talk) 09:04, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
