File has been renamed

[edit]

This image was originally uploaded by someone under the assumption the image was of the en:Bixby Creek Bridge, but a careful analysis of the photo revealed it was of the similar, nearby en:Rocky Creek Bridge (California). At my request the file was renamed to correct this error, however my attempts to get the SDC property for coordinates of the point of view (P1259) corrected using the AC/DC tool haven't been successful. AC/DC doesn't return an error, but a warning stubbornly keeps appearing on the page for Rocky Creek Bridge (seen from northwest corner) (1).jpg that says:

"There is a discrepancy of 834 meters between the above coordinates and the ones stored at SDC (36°22′21″N 121°54′10″W, precision: 5 m). Please reconcile them."

SDC wants to hold on to the wrong coordinates that point to the Bixby Creek Bridge. Why, I don't know. Nevertheless, the correct coordinates for the camera location are:

Camera location36° 22′ 47.57″ N, 121° 54′ 07.2″ W  Heading=135° Kartographer map based on OpenStreetMap.View all coordinates using: OpenStreetMapinfo

Update: After a lousy usability experience, I finally fixed the SDC info. Afte digging deep into some archived help I found an instance where someone else had the same exact problem. It turns out I had a crucial tab named "Structured data" disabled in my preferences. Even after enabling it, trying to get things right took multiple attempts (resulting in an embarrassing sequence of failed efforts cluttering my contributions history.) I'm utterly unfamiliar with the whole Structured Data thing, and I hope any future encounters with it are (1) rare, and (2) go more smoothly. Why I couldn't get AC/DC to actually work is still a mystery. – Itsfullofstars (talk) 01:13, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
