So isn't a cropped version approved as well? I rotated Rodney's face; then I removed some of the lady behind him's hair using the edit tool. That's all. The Rodney Bingenheimer article needs a Rodney Bingenheimer picture -- 300 views per day sometimes, and no picture in the infobox. When I tried using the new and supposedly improved uploader, there was no way for me to click on something to say that this image was derived from an approved image, but I figured that people would figure this out. But, as always, I continue to be baffled by the complexity of this copyright stuff, and I'm trying to do the right thing here. And, in the meantime, I will revert to using the good ole uploader when I do images derived from images.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 00:20, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Fixed it. You're not the only one going back to using the tried and true uploader. The upload wizard's only good for the simple stuff. – Adrignola talk 18:34, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
