The name Jesus in Armenian was written as Յիսուս, not Հիսուս, before the 20th-century orthographic reform implemented by the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic; therefore, the abbreviation "ՀՍ" superimposed on the flag's lower-left quadrant is anachronistically inaccurate.
